No space? No problem !

Many people think that growing mushrooms requires a lot of space, but this is not necessarily the case. It is entirely possible to grow mushrooms in a small space, even if you don't have a lab or growing room.

Mushroom growing kits are a great choice for people who have limited space and want to grow fresh mushrooms at home. These kits are ready to fruit as soon as they arrive and come with detailed instructions. They can be grown in a wide variety of places, such as on a refrigerator or in a bathroom.

Once the mushrooms have fruited indoors, grow kits can be used as a substrate for outdoor growing projects, such as inoculating logs and stumps, or even attempting a second batch of mushrooms.

The method is quite simple for an outdoor attempt:

  1. Moisten a mixture of fresh sawdust (beech, oak) and wood shavings and/or straw to prepare the substrate for your oyster mushroom bed.
  2. Make a first layer of sawdust and wood shavings and/or straw about 7.5 cm thick in a bucket.
  3. Crumble and spread your grow kit evenly over this layer of material.
  4. Add another 7.5 cm layer of wood shavings and sawdust and/or straw on top like lasagna.
  5. Over time, the mycelium will break down the substrate in your tank, producing mushrooms when conditions are suitable.

This simple method maximizes mushroom production in limited space, providing a rewarding growing experience for mushroom enthusiasts of all levels.
